Bedford Row Family Project is a non-profit organisation working with families and children of prisoners in Limerick, Ireland.


Mission Statement:

Seeks to facilitate the families of prisoners as a group sharing common interests.  Offers support to the families affected by imprisonment and helps with the re-integration of ex-prisoners into their family life and into society.

Activities include:

  • educational programmes for children
  • training programmes for counsellors who work with the families
  • research on children of imprisoned parents
  • hospitality service at the Limerick prison, which provides refreshments and child-centred activities in the waiting room
