This animated short tells the story of Gor and Rory, a brother and sister struggling with the day-to-day challenge of having their father in prison. What should Gor say when his friend asks him where is dad is? What should Rory say when it’s ‘Bring your father to class’ day at school?
There are approximately 12,000 children in Croatia every year who have a parent in prison, and about 2 million children throughout Europe on a given day in the same position.
Children who have a parent in prison may face very strong emotions such as sadness, guilt, shame, fear and anger. This video is a wonderful advocacy tool for raising awareness of this pressing issue and introducing ideas for supporting children challenged by parental imprisonment.
