Congratulations to Dr. Alain Bouregba, President of Fédération Relais Enfants Parents, and Nancy Loucks, Chief Executive of Families Outside, on their recent honours recognising the contribution they have made to public life in France and the United Kingdom respectively.

Dr. Alain Bouregba, the founder and former President of the COPE Network, was awarded the rank of Chevalier of the Légion d’honneur by the Minister of Justice in the New Year’s awards, recognising his 29 years of his exceptional service to France, his work as the President of FREP, and his work as a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst.

Professor Nancy Loucks, COPE Secretary General, was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the New Year’s Honours List for her services to education and human rights, in response to her work at Strathclyde University and with the Families Outside organisation. Responding to congratulations for her award on Facebook and Twitter, Nancy wanted to make it clear that “an OBE reflects the efforts of the team, not the individual.”

Congratulations to them both from everyone here at COPE and well done to all the staff at FREP and Families Outside for their excellent work in the past year.
