In 2012, Children of Prisoners Europe was Eurochips. The staff spent the majority of the year organising an international conference to raise awareness on children of prisoners by presenting the findings and recommendations of the COPING project. The main activities of the year included (not limited to):
- The COPING Project
- Coping with a Parent in Prison: An Agenda for Policy Reform Conference in Brussels
- Council of Europe’s Conference of International NGOs
- 7th European Forum on Children’s Rights
- Liased with the EU Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) with respect to the research: “Treatment of Children in Justice Systems”
- Joined the Child Rights Action Group (CRAG) – an informal group of international and European NGOs who share a commitment to mainstreaming child rights across EU policy and action
