Inspired by the EU’s Child Participation Platform survey, Children of Prisoners Europe (COPE) has launched a survey to hear directly from children across Europe their ideas about how to make visiting a parent in prison a better, more child-friendly experience.

What’s this survey about?

COPE is eager to learn your thoughts on how to make prison spaces better, friendlier and more welcoming for children. There are guidelines in place to make sure you and other children are looked after in prisons, but we know that they are not always followed. Your answers to this survey could help us make sure that these guidelines are followed and that children’s rights are respected when visiting a parent.

Why does your input matter?

COPE will share these thoughts with people who make decisions about prisons in countries across Europe. This way, they can learn about children’s experiences and considerations regarding prison facilities, so they are better informed to make prisons across Europe more child-friendly.

The deadline to fill in the survey is 17th May 2024.

The questionnaire is available in 14 languages, so you can choose your preferred version below. The translations have been done online, so there may be mistakes. If you notice a correction to be made, please send us a message at contact[at]networkcope.eu to let us know.
