31st May 2011
This is a reminder that our Invisible Children’s Week campaign is now in full swing. We began last week at the European Parliament in Brussels, where Danish MEP, Britta Thomsen, hosted a launch of the pan-European research study report “Children of Imprisoned Parents” conducted by the Danish Institute of Human rights.
Upcoming events include prison visits with creative workshops hosted by Treff-Punkt in in Luxembourg on May 31st and open prisons for children in Italy hosted by Bambinisenzasbarre on the 11th and 12th of June.
And finally and most importantly please do not forget to sign and disseminate our European Parliament petition.
We have now 440 of the 5,000 signatures we are aiming for. Its a step but to give weight to the letter which will be adressed to the members of parliament, we need to walk faster, so if you have not signed yet, then please do so right now and also encourage your entourage for support.
Further information can be found on our blog.
Thank you for your continued support,
