COPE ‘Advocacy Packs’ can be used as starting points when initiating contact with the following stakeholders: prison services, alternative care providers, police and law enforcement officials, the media, the judiciary and schools. They offer concise introductions to the topic with ideas of how each stakeholder can play a part in respecting the rights and meeting the needs of children with parents in conflict with the law throughout law enforcement / criminal justice processes. Pertinent articles from the Council of Europe’s  Recommendation CM/Rec(2018)5 are included, along with links to further resources (including briefing papers, toolkits, issues of the European Journal of Parental Imprisonment and other resources relating to the Council of Europe Recommendation’s CM/Rec(2018)5).
