The Angel Camp

During the week of 9 August 2020, the Czech Prison Fellowship organised a summer camp, “Angel Camp”, addressed to children with a parent in prison in Hrachov. The camp aimed to support children and provide a safe space to talk about their experience of having a parent in prison. During the day, children were offered games, music and theatre workshops, and sport-related activities. In the evening, group discussions, as well as personal conversations with children, were organised. Children were encouraged to talk about their experience of having a parent in prison. For some children, the camp was an opportunity to talk about their experience for the first time in their life. In total, 52 children participated.
