Probacja submitted a petition to Poland’s Ministry of Justice requesting the implementation of COPE’s ‘Sentencing Toolkit’ in the country, as well as the distribution of all relevant COPE materials to Polish judges. Moreover, to protest against the status quo of the government concerning the reopening of prisons, Probacja wrote a letter to the Ministry of Justice. The letter highlights the need for children and their prisoner-parents to maintain contact, as well as their right to family life. It was signed by over 5,000 people and sent to the Ministry of Justice at the beginning of 2021. The letter can be found here.
